Lions Environment Projects

Lions Environmental Programs
Officially adopted in 1972, Lions have a distinguished record in the area of environmental service. Clubs and districts have organized projects that aim to preserve the quality of the air, water and land. Projects that save endangered flora and fauna have also been implemented.

Lions are encouraged to adopt a local park and to organize environment projects in their communities. These efforts can range from creating local recycling centers to planting new trees.

Environment District Chairman
Each District within Lionism has an officer entitled "Environment Chairman" who works to encourage clubs to develop successful environmental projects that improve the community.
